About the Role:
We are looking for an Acting Head of Finance responsible for overall accountability for all finance matters. This role will lead and develop a high-performing team delivering quality service to key internal stakeholders. It will also serve as the finance business partner to the Australia CEO and the Australia Executive Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully embed IFS and seek process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Prepare the annual 3-year budget and quarterly forecasts with ALMs.
- Ensure continuous current-year forecasts outlining risks and opportunities.
- Embed financial performance accountability throughout business units.
- Present ongoing financial results to the Executive team.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and KPIs.
- Prepare annual financial statements and establish an annual audit.
- Support finance scope delivery across Construction and Asset Management.
- Provide ALMs with required financial data to meet BU objectives.
- Assist ALMs with the business planning process.
- Collaborate with the EMEA CFO and other Heads of Finance across EMEA.
- Manage finance-related matters on various JVs and support ALMs.
- Develop and refine the finance operating model as the business grows.
- Strive for exemplary Health & Safety performance and staff wellbeing.
- Lead a growing team, fostering a positive culture focused on sustainable growth, diversity, and inclusion.
- Foster a collaborative approach across all business units.
Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of wind, solar, and energy storage project development, construction, and operations.
- Expertise in non-recourse project finance syndicate agreements.
- Knowledge of tax and accounting standards for utility-scale projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage relationships.
- Ability to work independently and deliver results.
- Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders.
- Strong resource management and organizational skills.
- Degree in finance, accounting, or commerce.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Business-level English capability.
- Experience presenting to Boards.
- Experience managing non-recourse project finance syndicate agreements.
