About the Role:
 
We are looking for an Acting Head of Finance responsible for overall accountability for all finance matters. This role will lead and develop a high-performing team delivering quality service to key internal stakeholders. It will also serve as the finance business partner to the Australia CEO and the Australia Executive Team.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Fully embed IFS and seek process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Prepare the annual 3-year budget and quarterly forecasts with ALMs.
  • Ensure continuous current-year forecasts outlining risks and opportunities.
  • Embed financial performance accountability throughout business units.
  • Present ongoing financial results to the Executive team.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and KPIs.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and establish an annual audit.
  • Support finance scope delivery across Construction and Asset Management.
  • Provide ALMs with required financial data to meet BU objectives.
  • Assist ALMs with the business planning process.
  • Collaborate with the EMEA CFO and other Heads of Finance across EMEA.
  • Manage finance-related matters on various JVs and support ALMs.
  • Develop and refine the finance operating model as the business grows.
  • Strive for exemplary Health & Safety performance and staff wellbeing.
  • Lead a growing team, fostering a positive culture focused on sustainable growth, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Foster a collaborative approach across all business units.
 
 
Skills & Experience:
 
  • Knowledge of wind, solar, and energy storage project development, construction, and operations.
  • Expertise in non-recourse project finance syndicate agreements.
  • Knowledge of tax and accounting standards for utility-scale projects.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders.
  • Strong resource management and organizational skills.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or commerce.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Business-level English capability.
  • Experience presenting to Boards.
  • Experience managing non-recourse project finance syndicate agreements.
