— New podcast features guests from Microsoft, ORE Catapult and Mainstream Renewable Power —
RES, the world’s largest independent renewables company, has launched a brand-new podcast focusing on the burning issues facing the energy industry.
The Future of Energy features industry insight and opinion from a range of renewable experts working to deliver a greener future around the world.
Hosted by Maf Smith, an industry expert and former deputy chief executive of Renewable UK, the podcast aims to answer the big questions which investors, businesses, and individuals are thinking about when they consider renewables and the race to net-zero.
Each episode Maf unpacks a big issue facing the industry, before being joined by two guests from different corners of the renewables community. RES has enlisted the help of renewables experts across the world, including guests from Microsoft, ORE Catapult and Mainstream Renewable Power in its opening episodes.
The six episodes of the first series will focus on issues including the pandemic and its impact on net-zero commitments, green investment trends, the rise of hydrogen, and the increasing role AI is playing across the industry.
Rachel Ruffle, CEO Northern Europe at RES, said: “We’re very excited to launch our first ever podcast which brings together people from across the renewables industry to discuss the opportunities and issues we’re all facing. We know that greater investment, innovation and public-private collaboration is needed to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, secure and affordable green energy system. It’s our hope that the podcast can be a useful platform to stimulate discussion and put forward new ideas to accelerate the actions of our industry to reduce global emissions and reach our net-zero targets.”
The first episode is now live on all popular streaming platforms, with more episodes to follow. Click on the image below to listen to episode one.
