What is Hydropower?

Hydroelectric power harnesses the energy of flowing or falling water to generate electricity. This is achieved by converting the gravitational potential or kinetic energy of a water source to produce power.

Using a ‘homegrown’ energy source, such as water, makes use of our abundant natural resources to generate clean energy and reduces our reliance on harmful fossil fuels.
