New initiative to help ensure greater workplace inclusion of the neurodivergent community

RES is proud to announce becoming a founding member of Neurodiversity in Business (NiB), complementing their current work on inclusive recruitment and formulating a neurodiversity recruitment guide, created due to feedback from neurodiverse employees.

NiB is a UK-based organisation focused on providing education and awareness on how neurodiverse individuals contribute to the employee mix and support the participation of neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.

The organisation, led by Dan Harris (Chief Executive Officer), draws upon the cumulative knowledge of neurodivergent experts and leading companies to share best practices and improve the employment and experience of the neurodiverse workforce.

Speaking upon admission to NiB, RES CEO of Support Services and Disability Affinity Network Sponsor, Marco Perona said:

“We are delighted to become a member of Neurodiversity in Business. Along with our Global Head of D&I, our Disability Affinity Network is enriching the employee experience of our neurodiverse talent by providing education and awareness initiatives, as well as eliminating systemic barriers which may be present in our recruitment and selection process.

We are a people-first organisation with a unique culture of care and are committed to listening to and reflecting on feedback from our people. For example, the network is designing an inclusive neurodiverse recruitment and interview guide formulated due to responses from our global engagement survey. As Executive Sponsor of the Disability Network, it is my responsibility to lead internal conversations and provide a psychologically safe environment where our people can speak openly about their diversity and feel that they belong.”

As RES joined NiB, Dan J Harris, CEO said:

“We are delighted that RES has become a founding member of NiB. It signals their commitment to ensuring a truly inclusive workplace and a desire to strive for the best in diversity and inclusion standards.

We look forward to working with RES and all our members in delivering meaningful change for the neurodivergent across business.”

A selection of the forum’s founding members include: Accenture; ARM, AstraZeneca; Capita;  Hiscox; IBM, Kimberly Clark; KPMG, Lloyds Banking Group; Metro Bank; NatWest; Network Rail; Openreach; Oracle; Orange; Rolls Royce plc; Sky; TalkTalk; The Open University; Unilever; Virgin Media/O2 and many more.
